1 out of 5 stars Very Unhappy   January 2, 2009

We were so excited and so were our girls when we set this up for them. But within a good 30 minutes or less, it had already fallen apart. The pipping they use to hold it up is very cheap, bends and breaks with little force. We wasted all that money to now have a heap of material lying on the floor unusable!! Do Not BUY, would be my advise!!

1 out of 5 stars Disappointing...   January 2, 2009

I wish I had read the reviews before opening the box. We received this as a Christmas gift and my 5 year old was extremely excited. My husband was able to assemble it fairly quickly. But the lights came on. The tower is very top heavy and leans. While she is inside, it keeps falling over and she thinks it is funny, but I disagree. Please beware that they did not make this toy very durable and I don't think it will last long.

2 out of 5 stars Cute toy, but disappointng durability.   January 1, 2009

Very cute castle for a little girl, but it was a pain to assemble and the supporting rods are extremely flimsy. A couple of them bent and almost broke while I was assembling it. The tent is quite large, so you do want to have it in it's intended location before you assemble it. I haven't tried taking it down yet. My daughter was thrilled with the castle. She liked the red lights that glow above the door and the towers on the sides that have windows and pockets for toys, but after just a few minutes of her playing, it could barely stand up. Any pressure on the sides at all will make it lean and I think children of any age would have a really hard time remembering not to touch the walls at all. Also, the battery pack is located inside of the tent right near the door and is very easy for little fingers to tamper with. It would be very easy to rip out the wire that connects to the battery pack and the battery compartment door just slides off. While I usually dislike the inconvenience of having to remove a screw to replace batteries in toys, it does help to keep little hands away from the batteries. I didn't notice any screw on the battery compartment for the castle.

1 out of 5 stars Do not buy   December 14, 2008

This toy did not last 24 hours in our house. My 4 year old broke it the first day. The tent would not stand up. I took it back to the store so I could purchase the rose petal cottage castle instead. Not sure if that would be better, but anything is better than this.

2 out of 5 stars Disappointed in Disney Product   November 26, 2008
Cathy L. Huestis (evansville, in)
I bought this for my daughter for her 6th birthday. She really wanted it and she was so excited when she opened the gift. First problem is that 4 of 10 poles were missing so we could not even set it up. Upon further inspection, I found a tear in it. Also 2 of the places the poles are supposed to go are sewn together - so even if I had all the poles, we would have to cut the fabric to put them in place. My daughter was heartbroken. I went online thinking I would order another one and I found most reviews were poor on the product. I usually read reviews, but my daughter wanted it so bad that I did not even do my research. I learned a lesson.
