This castle set inflates with minimal effort once you hook it up to the heavy duty fan that is included. The packaging claims that the castle can be fully mounted in 45 seconds and in our informal test we did have pretty speedy results. Once its set up, kids up to 83 pounds are ready to get in and bounce (total weight should not exceed 250 pounds) in the yellow, red, and blue castle set. I bought this item for my son's 2nd birthday. He was thrilled and is still thrilled at almost age 4 with watching the castle inflate and deflate so quickly. The kids ( ages 3 and 6) love the bright colors. They really enjoy bouncing for a short period of time. It does not hold their interest for hours. I find they are excited - jump a a while- then leave to play something else and then come back to the castle. I found the item very sturdy and durable. The blower works great. A quality toy. I just wish we lived somewhere I could use it all year long and didn't have to put the item away. Rolling it up and putting it back in the carrier is a pain.

I read all the reviews about this and couldn't wait to get it. My kids love it and so do all of their friends. I have two boys. Two and a half and 11 months. They both love it. The secret to fitting it in the bag is to fold it in half and then half again. Then I lay my dining room table chairs on it over night to get all the air out. Then my husband rolls it up real tight. The bounce house fits in my front room and comes to about an inch from our ceiling. We only use it a couple times a month because you can definitely see it on the electric bill but it really wears my 2.5 year old out.

We've had our bounce for a few years now and it is still just as fun as the day we got it. We used to have a living room with cathedral ceilings and could blow this up in our living room but in our new house the living room is more narrow and the ceiling is lower so we use it in the basement or take it outside for special events, playdates and when neighbors come over to play. Small children, 18 months, up to 16 years old have played in this bounce and really enjoyed it. Grown ups have sat in it with children, but were reluctant to jump with the 250 weight limit and the children also inside, but I think it would have been fine.
I would actually recommend getting one of the newer ones with the angled slide type area outside the opening. In the almost 3 years that we have had this bounce we have only had 2 accidents of someone tumbling out of the entrance area and they were not hurt. But it is just large pieces of velcro that keep the entrance secured. So the added slide chamber would be a plus.
Loads of fun. Great energy burner. A single child can get bored without someone to jump with, but still has fun with an audience. But with 2 kids in there - they only get out to get a drink.
No problems with the motor. The material is very strong and has held up fine with indoor and outdoor use. People complaining that the motor is loud. I barely hear the motor over the screaming cheers and laughter of the children. Very quick and easy inflate and deflate.

Coolest. Toy. Ever. Hands down, this is the best toy a kid under 80 pounds or so can get. I gave this to my 5 year old niece last Christmas and she absolutely loved it. No other toy mattered that day. When she first opened it, she gave me a puzzled "That's it?" look. I think she thought it was some stupid little plastic play set. So I took her outside, hooked it up (It took me a minute to figure out the *on* switch for the fan) and then WOW!!! When it inflated, her eye's were so big they nearly popped out of her head. I had to help her into it, because she was a little intimidated by the size of it to start. Once inside the thing, she stood there for just a second wondering what to do. Standing outside the castle, I did a little hop myself and she got the idea immediately. After realizing just how awesome this toy was, she ran over to the neighbor's house to drag her friend over to see it (I had to buy my niece a powerwheels VW bug for her birthday last year because her friend wouldn't share her powerwheels jeep). It was really cold out and the ground was wet but that didn't matter to my niece. She would come in every 30 minutes or so, with her little nose and ears pink with cold, just to warm up. After a few minutes and a hot snack she'd feel sufficiently warm enough and it was back out to the castle. I was worried the little thing was going to die of pneumonia because of my present! Her friend was so jealous I could tell she was actively trying to tear the toy up somehow. No luck for her. It's a very durable toy. At the end of the day, the friend was green with envy and I had accomplished what I set out to do: be my niece's coolest, most favorite Uncle in the whole wide world AND give my niece a present better than anyone in her little world would get that Christmas. A year later and she is still playing with the thing. She talks about her favorite uncle all the time too :-) The only problem you'll have with this toy is trying to top it the next time around. I am UP THE CREEK this Christmas because I simply cannot find another toy this cool. This thing is the pinnacle of toys. It's huge. It's low tech fun. It doesn't have lots of rules/assembly/instructions. It's everything a little kid could want. Her gameboy advance did nothing but collect dust that day :-) Oh yeah, I give it 5 stars for educational value too, because it'll teach those selfish little neighbor kids the value of sharing ;-)

I bought this bounce around for my son's 4th birthday party. It was a big hit. I would recommend 2, maybe 3 small children in at once. It is extremely easy to setup. It inflates in about 45 seconds just as advertised. Great Buy.
