Imagination at it's Best! December 28, 2008 Steven D. Ayers (MI,USA) I cannot say enough about this horse. Our granddaughter rides it so much that she almost falls asleep on it! The sound is great, not intrusive, and it really wears out the little ones with a high energy level! Anyway, I would highly suggest this horse to anyone with little ones. It's VERY sturdy and reasonably easy to put together for the first time.
Great Fun for kids but not to assemble December 27, 2008 Techno Geek Guru (USA) My daughter has used this for the past year and has a blast each time she uses it. It's very sturdy and will last for years. The only problem I had was building it. The only problem I found is that it took some force and a rubber mallet to put the thing together. I would have rated this a 5 if it came pre built.
Almost Perfect! December 8, 2008 AngelSeeker My daughter got this toy for Christmas when she was about 18 months old (a little early, but her grandparents wanted her to have it). She has loved it since day one. There are only 2 drawbacks. As others have said, it is HUGE. We recently moved it to put an upright piano in it's place.. they are about the same size! Still need to figure out a place for the rocking horse. But the biggest problem we've had is the handle. It is two rubber end pieces that slip over a plastic rod. You put the rod through holes on either side of the horse's head and then slip on the rubber end pieces. Problem is.. it won't stay on! We had a problem for a while with her trying to use the handle to get on - and it would pull out, sending her to the floor! Visitors would do the same thing! Then, for a while, she'd intentionally pull it out to use it to smack things! I'm a little shocked they don't have a better means of keeping it on there (since it is only logical that children will use the hand hold to mount!), but it's less of a problem now that she's older and knows to grab his neck instead. We still have the problem with guests tho. Those 2 aspects aside, this is a FANTASTIC toy that I know she will be enjoying for a LONG time!
Grandson Loves It December 7, 2008 L. PRUITT (Chesapeake VA) My 3 old grandson was a bit afraid at first, then fell in love with the hair. He rides it all the time, grinning as he goes. Spring Horses are a toy every child should have.
Radio Flyer spring Rocking Horse October 31, 2008 Grandma (Florida) This is a Radio Flyer spring rocking horse. It is extremely well made and should be around for quite a while. Be aware, however, that it involves A LOT of assembly. If you're not assembly-inclined, do yourself a favor and get someone else to do the job. In my case, though it came with instructions, the instructions implied that I actually knew what they were talking about. The good news is, my son had no problem putting it together. This is the kind of toy we all grew up with, and is refreshing in its' simplicity. With just a little imagination, my grandson will be is racing the wind! Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas, little one!
