My baby has loved this toy since I bought it randomly - when the demo song played I got tears in my eyes (could be the hormones, my baby was only 2 mo old at the time) - he loved to stare at it when it was dusk outside, and we were doing our bedtime routine - now that its light when he goes to bed (he's 12 mo), we play it in a darkened room - he squeals and grabs the arms and hugs it. we love it.

My daughter LOVES sunny sunshine! She talks to him all the time before falling asleep. We've had it in her crib since she was born. It was actually a little too much for her initially and she would cry, but once she got older and could focus better, it's been great!

We got this toy for my daughter's first Christmas. She is now 4 months old and this toy is the last step of our bedtime routine. I agree that it is loud and bright, but we hung it on the curtain rod above the window by the ceiling. This makes it quieter and less intense. Our daughter can fuss when put to bed, but since we have started using Sunny Sunshine she knocks out pretty fast. The best part is that the music is not annoying (although I find myself humming it throughout the day).

This is a great little toy. It is rather bright in complete darkness but my daughter has loved it since birth. she is now 9 months old and still loves it.. I do not think it soothes a baby to sleep only because of it's brightnes but it does distract. Distraction is great at 9 months old.. if she starts her night playing then she plays herself to sleep which seems to keep her happy and content, which keeps me happy and content!

i got this and another item for my friends in Germany since he's been deployed there and can't be around family to entertain the baby i got his baby this sunny sunshine and they say the baby loves it!, they put it in his crib and the baby just stares at it like the sun is really watching over him,, soo cute, plus is good that it has different colors which makes it even more adorable
