Amazon.com Review There are baby bouncers, and there are activity centers -- and then, there's the Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper, which combines both concepts in one fun, convenient, and economical toy. Babies ages 4 months and up, under 25 pounds, will enjoy bouncing with their legs and swiveling in their seats to play with a variety of developmentally challenging activities. | What We Think Fun Factor:
Durability: (what this means)
The Good: Versatile activity center gives babies vital leg exercise and stimulation with a variety of enticing toys
The Bad: May be too cumbersome for small living spaces
In a Nutshell: Activity Jumper combines baby bouncer with popular activity center functionality in one convenient and fun toy | At a Glance Ages: 4 months and up to 25 pounds Requires:#1 Phillips screwdriver; 3 C batteries | | |

The Activity Jumper folds flat for easy storage. View larger. | Innovative Variety of Developmental Activities The Musical Motion Activity Jumper sports a cheerful, primary-color palette that's eye-catching and suitable for boys or girls. It stands on a base, with the infant bucket seat attached to two arches by adjustable, spring-loaded straps. When baby is placed in the seat, he can kick off the ground with his legs to bounce up and down. This provides vital exercise for a youngster's legs, helping to prepare him for walking. The six-point height adjustment lets it grow with your infant, while non-skid feet and fabric-covered springs keep baby safe. Most bouncers stop there -- but we're delighted to find that the Activity Jumper also surrounds baby with plenty of fun, interactive toys. The bucket seat can rotate 360 degrees for baby to reach all of the activities. He'll delight in the frog spinner, bead chaser, and baby-proof mirror. The toy also includes 10 Baby Einstein links that can be repositioned and detached from the activity center for on-the-go play, or which serve as attachment points for additional toys. A teether stalk toy helps soothe itchy gums while encouraging "reach and grab" coordination. And the light-up piano keys give baby an interactive introduction to musical creativity with two modes: the "piano notes" mode plays in piano tones, while the "melodies" mode features five classical melodies. Help Your Little One Get Stronger Babies love bouncing. Not only is it exciting for a baby to move himself with the power of his own legs, but it gives him satisfying, and vital, exercise that helps prepare him for standing and walking. The higher and harder that baby bounces in the Activity Jumper, the more the toys will rattle and shake -- making it even more exciting and fun. And with the added benefit of a rotating seat, which baby operates by pushing off the ground with his feet, your infant gets even more leg coordination practice in a safe, secure place. We especially enjoy the versatility of this 2-for-1 toy -- and it's safer than an infant walker. Other perks for parents: the fabric seat cover is a cinch to remove, and it's machine washable. And unlike some other bouncers, the Activity Jumper folds down flat for much easier storage. While it's erected, however, it takes up a bit of room. And because your baby won't be able to use this toy once he's able to stand and walk unassisted, it has a limited-use timeframe. What's in the Box Activity jumper, assembly hardware, quick start guide, and user's guide.

Love it!!! December 21, 2008 Jules (Louisiana) As grandparents, we wanted a fun, yet educational, activity to entertain our 5-month old granddaughter. This was relatively easy to assemble (it did take 2 of us though to stretch the "springs" for attachment) but this is very easy to set-up and break-down between her visits. Once broken-down, some toys may be too tall for storage under some beds, but those toys can easily removed. We love the fact that this jumper can grow with her...allowing for various heights and a large seat. While the seat is a bit large for her now, we simply use a baby blanket to fill in the gap. So far, we've had no problems with any of the "stations" and the musical piano is one of favorites at the moment. This product appears very durable, so we anticipate using it on future grandchildren too!
Scary-looking, but fun!.... December 12, 2008 Hoffman 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This chair looks complex and intimidating at first, but I soon came to realize that's because when you put your child into it they get sucked into an inter-dimensional vortex that sends them back in time. Usually it's great fun (my daughter loves playing with the dinosaurs!), but be careful. Once I carelessly sent my child into WWII Nazi Germany...
For the kinetic kidd. December 11, 2008 Robin of Spain (In the mountains) My husband and I liked this jumper because it wasn't made of cheep plastic. I've had no problems like other reviewers. My only trouble is that the seat is too big for her slim body (she wobbles) so we pad her with a rolled up fleece blanket and she just bounces away. Oh, we also put a piece of foam under her feet because she's not tall enough quite yet and our floors are hardwood. When she does get a good push off she just bounces and giggles like mad. Sometime she does it so hard that I worry about "Shaking Baby" issues, but she just squeals with delight and I hope for the best. She also LOVES the music with flashing lights. I wish I knew what all the songs were - can't ID 2 of them. This is a God send for keeping the "bug" happy and for helping her burn off excess energy right before bedtime. If you child has issues with stability (head or sitting up) this may not be the best choice, but if you child is a mover and wiggler than I recommend this HANDS DOWN over anything else.
Great activity center December 4, 2008 Mrs. Kim Beck (California, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Our son let us know at around 4 months that he loved to JUMP JUMP JUMP! He has been in this thing since then, and we're very happy with our purchase. When I was looking at exersaucers, this was the only one that would allow him to jump, and it was the only one with spring suspension as opposed to plastic legs for support - it doesn't make that loud THUMP THUMP THUMP noise that other exersaucers do when a kid jumps around in it. I also love that you can change the toys on it - we hang all sorts of different toys from the fabric loops on the crossbars to keep things interesting. Don't expect this to be as bouncy as a door jumper - it's not the same toy, so not the same bounce - but it does allow a young baby to jump enough to amuse him or her self. This is a great place for a kid to be.
The perfect source of entertainment!!! December 4, 2008 Melissa (Highlands Ranch, Colorado) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this item when my 4 month old began bouncing on my lap and started to wear me out. At the time, he was too small to sit up in it. The large round sitting area allowed for room for a towel to wrap around him. He is now 8 months old and cannot get enough of this toy! The ability to add differnt toys to the bars keeps his attention and the sunny face on the end has become a perfect chew toy as he teeths. This toy can bounce like crazy! I had no problems with any parts or pieces breaking and not working. Dad was even able to put it together without Mom taking over! This is our first baby and we have pretty much purchased everything we can for him (3 swings, exersaucer, door bouncer...mainly because Mom likes to shop) this is hands down the best purchase we have ever made! I have this near the kitchen and put him in there while I make meals. He bounces, laughs and watches Mommy! The only thing I would have done differently would have been to register for this item to eliminate having to spend the money myself:) Thank you Baby Einstein!
