4 out of 5 stars fun toy   January 6, 2009

This was definitely a fun toy with the maracas...it was more entertaining then educational. Unfortunately with all the sounds and music you really couldn't hear the programmed voice teaching.

4 out of 5 stars What's up with only one singing maraca?   December 17, 2008
Nicole Newland (Naples, FL)
My daughters both love to bang the maraca that sings on anything and everything. They love watching it change colors and get excited when it gets through the colors or up to ten. I love how it can be changed from English to Spanish. It's been beaten up countless times and still functions perfectly. I just have one complaint - what is the deal with the non-singing maraca? The kids don't pay a bit of attention to it. In fact, I couldn't even tell you where it is right now! If both of them sang, it would be a perfect toy in my book.

3 out of 5 stars A Little Disappointed   December 2, 2008

I had high hopes for these, but I am a little disappointed.

Only 1 of the maracas lights up and talks, and the other 1 only 'shakes'.

I expected more from LeapFrog.

4 out of 5 stars Good Solid Toy   November 23, 2008

My daughter goes off and on with this toy, like any other toy, she likes to shake and hit it, not sure if she cares that it makes the music, she does like the maraca aspect to it. I could do withou the spanish and she flips the switch and then spanish comes out, talk about irritating.

4 out of 5 stars Shake It Slowly   October 5, 2008
Amlaphq (Wisconsin, USA)
I bought these for my neice for her 1 year old birthday. I read reviews that said the one maraca that lit up and made noise got more children's attention than the one that was a normal maraca, however, my neice preferred the plain one the first time I gave them to her! She liked how she could shake them to her own beat. She didn't quite get how to shake the one that counts, sings, and tells her the colors, but she liked how it lit up....This toy requires a little patience because if it is in the middle of saying a color for example and you shake it again, it won't register and immediately switch the the next color. I think with a little time and help from mom she will put 2 and 2 together that the words match the actions of the toy.
