Ordered for a 3 yr. old. January 8, 2009 Roselover (Kentucky) Bought this for my Granddaughter who is going to be three in Feb., she loves it, and it does inspire creative play. Very imporant these days as it takes her away from the TV, and she learns to entertain herself.
Step 2 Magical Shoe Fairy Cottage January 6, 2009 E. Breen (Howell, MI) Too Cute, toy is made very well and is big enough for the little person in your life. I bought this for my niece 1yr old, things come off and on easy. She loves it.
My daughter's favorite of all the Christmas gifts! December 27, 2008 Photographer and Mommy to 2 (Baltimore, MD) I can't say enough good things about this toy. My 3 1/2 year old daughter got a tons of toys for Christmas. This one is her absolute favorite - she has been playing with it non-stop for 3 days. The photo on Amazon doesn't do this toy justice. It is over a foot tall and probably about a foot long at the base (those are approximations). I was amazed by all of the toys that come with this shoe cottage - 4 fairies, a tea kettle, a mushroom table, 2 chairs, a caterpillar and a bed. These accessories are absolutely adorable. The top of the shoe opens, the bottom and side of the shoe open and the "tongue" of the shoe opens to become a slide (one of my daughter's favorite parts). When you push the doorbell, it chimes (similar to the "it's time to turn the page" chime on recorded stories) and the little purple flowers above the door also light up. My daughter's new "doll house" (her words) was the biggest hit from Christmas - a great addition to her collection!
Great Toddler Fairy Play House! December 22, 2008 New Mom (Seattle WA) Our daughter is almost 2 and got this fairy shoe cottage for the Winter Solstice holiday. It is much more complicated than the iPlay Fairyland Playhouse (which we got when she was about 18 mo old). While they are both great and work well as a set, the Magical Shoe Fairy Cottage is by far the better value. It has so many parts to explore. My favorite is the "attic" with Juliette balcony and curved French doors! But there are so many little people and furniture and the house itself is 3x as large and has a slide and swing. She was totally excited by the big shoe and so far it has been the most beloved toy! Highly recommended!
Cute fairy cottage December 4, 2008 JM2K8 (Northern VA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my daughter's 2nd birthday and it was a big hit. She loves the little characters and carries them around the house. I also liked that it was a little bit of a different theme than some of the other dollhouses out there. It is very nice for a little one, with chunky characters and furniture and the doorbell on the cottage is especially cute. The only reason that I don't give it all 5 stars is the fact that I wish there were a little more inside the house, to give the fairies more to do in there. But my daughter loves the little slide and I have to admit, the little catepillar is adorable! The handle breaks off the top of our house from time to time, but it is pretty easy to snap back on. All in all, a nice toy and a good purchase.
