cute and expensive January 6, 2009 Pam Leavitt (California, USA) My 7 year old daughter really wanted this for Christmas, but doesn't seem very interested in it now. I'd say very cute, but over priced.
Cute and Cuddly, But Has a Good Chance to Break January 1, 2009 B. Frame (Pennsylvania) My daughter (6yrs old) received this toy for Christmas. When it did work, it was pretty cool. Although, on the 27th the mouth and eyes stopped working and only made sounds. My daughter only played with this product for about 2 hours and was not rough with it at all. Overall, I am pretty unhappy with the durability of this product. The price of it certainly warranted a return. I am supposed to get my money back and would not purchase this line of product again due to it's delicate nature. BFrame
My Son enjoys it but I think stuffed animal lovers would rate 5 stars December 31, 2008 Marley (St. Petersburg, Florida United States) My 3 1/2 year old son begged for this after seeing it on TV. He enjoyed it but it sat by itself for most of the day. I think if your child enjoys playing with stuffed animals, they would get a lot out of the reactive toy. It snores, coos, gently bites your hand, meows, but not too much so that it becomes a chore. Would get again.
Nice robotic toy December 25, 2008 Eagle Vision (Southeastern United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading some negative reviews, I was hesitant about purchasing this toy for my daughter (who is 8 at the time of purchase). The major complaint is the overwhelming mechanical noise. CONSTRUCTION This is a plush toy with soft arms and legs. The torso houses the battery compartment and toggle switch for demo mode and play mode. One pitfall of this particular toy is the shedding. Fine hairs come off easily from this unit. The hair is acrylic or synthetic and I don't know if this is hypoallergenic. However, the hair has gotten all over my daughter's clothes. OPERATION Depending upon motion of the toy, the bear makes natural sounds that are preceded by a low level mechanical sound. To me, the sound is unobtrusive. However, I wouldn't recommend this toy for a child under 5. The mouth opens and closes and the action is smooth. VERDICT My daughter loves her toy. The unit is softer than I expected for a robotic toy. I recommend this toy with reservations only for smaller children (under 5 years of age).
