Cheap Junk December 26, 2008 ANW mom (Texas) Cheaply made and overpriced for all the charms you must buy in order to play the game. I would not recommend this to anyone. If your child likes Disney Fairies, buy the dolls and forget the online games. It's just not worth the money.
8 yr old loves it! December 24, 2008 Brandy R. Thompson (Atlanta, Ga USA) Each charm gets 1 online item for your fairy, it is consumerism as you have to buy items for your online fairy to use, but my 8 year old loves this game and loves the charms/box and has used it a lot. On the downside it isn't cheap to clothe your fairy, and she wasn't happy until she had a handful of charms to mix and match. Not worth getting unless you plan to add charms @ $[...] - $[...] for each set of three, but worth getting if you are OK with adding more pieces.
terrible misleading toy December 22, 2008 A. merkel 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This toy was very frustrating for my child and me too. First, the "necklace" the charms hang on is a rough silver dog chain looking thing. Next, the drawer for the box does not open easily. The worst part and the reason I DO NOT like this toy: When we went on line to play at Pixie Hollow, we found that you had to keep buying charms to get more accessories or furniture for your fairy. The one game we found had terrible interactive graphics. (this frustrated my daughter) When you go to 'circle' the petals, the game does not sync right with your mouse so you miss the petals. We eventually found the crafts and main games. You have to BUY A MEMBERSHIP TO PLAY!! This is consumerism at its worst. You can spend a fortune on this "chat room" type toy and the child will never have 'enough' to play with. Horrible toy that encourages spending more money.
