4 out of 5 stars So Fun!!!   January 2, 2009

We actually bought this game for my nephew and my 10 year old saw it and decided to spend some chistmas money on getting one. It is really fun and all the family enjoys it. We actually lucked out and Toys R Us had a big set with the sound attachment for 15 dollars. I like the sound attachment and suggest getting it as well. Must remember to adjust the wind throttle.

5 out of 5 stars Great fun for the whole family!   December 26, 2008

I bought this for my 8 year old son for Christmas and he really loves it. We've played it as a family (with my husband and 6 year old son). It's durable and it's great that it plugs in (no need to burn through batteries). We each choose a colored ball as our warrior and then load him up with weapons and have battle rounds. It's weirdly entertaining, we get into the competition by trading weapons and making different rules.

I definitely recommend it and am glad I bought it.

5 out of 5 stars If you like Battling Tops you will like this game   January 19, 2008

After reading the reviews, I was mixed as if I wanted to open the package. While the one review indicated there was no interaction and you could leave the room is partially true, the battles happen quite quickly and kept everyone entertained (dad and kids ages 8 &9). The kids liked chearing on their warrior.

Concept is to split the warriors (similar to painted ping pong balls) and weapons into to two armies. Each warrior has certain attributes (e.g., how many weapons it can hold and special ability). Put one warrior from each army into the "arena" and let them do battle. Simplistic, quick and entertaining.

In terms of "air power", our unit had no problem and we did not even have it on full to blow the balls in the air.

The website (www.verticonwarriors.com) also has a lesson plan that allows you to use this game to explain the Bernoulli Principle in action.

I recommend you go to the website where all the instructions are explained in detail so you can get a better understanding of the warriors, weapons and rules.

The first toy my son opened on christmas. He hasn't stopped playing with it. Also got the expansion kit, and have since gone out to buy more "competitors" for the game.

5 out of 5 stars Haven't seen anything like this!   January 16, 2007

I have to say, this has definitely been fascinating. My husband missed the part in the instructions about the throttle, so at first nobody was enthused with this, but once we realized how to really operate the unit with the throttle, WOW! all 3 of my boys (husband included) have had fun watching the "battles" in mid-air and guessing who would "win".
