Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars The grandkids loved these radios!!   January 6, 2009
S. Rhudy (Raleigh, NC)
This was a great gift for Christmas. Good price, good quality, durable. The grandkids played with them for hours.

I doubt any kid out there would turn them down.

The un-intended upside, they no longer ask to "play" with my GMRS radios.

1 out of 5 stars Defective   December 28, 2008
Mom (MN)
Bought these at Target, and they don't work. Right out of the box. No sound comes through. Too bad for Nat'l Geo that they decided to put their brand on junk. Shouldn't it be against the law to sell something that just flat out doesn't work? How can they ethically take money for this product?

1 out of 5 stars Lots of static   November 29, 2008

I too thought the National Geographic name would make this a reliable product. However, all you can really hear is the static. It is not worth even the $10.00.

3 out of 5 stars NG walkie talkie   November 19, 2008
Tim Scheppard
The walkies look fine, seem hardy but the static is very loud and renders the walkies almost unusable. you can barely heard the other person talking, we were less then 30 feet apart. I purchased these to call my kid in from the backyard without yelling, and they barely work for that.

2 out of 5 stars Terrible product   November 13, 2008

Bought these thinking National Geographic was a good product name, but once more than 10 feet apart even with line of sight you lose communication. Thankfully I bought them at my local Target so I'll be bringing them back tomorrow.
