Amazon.com Product Description Fisher-Price and Amazon.com have teamed up to offer this item in Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging, a recyclable, easy-to-open alternative to traditional packaging. This Frustration-Free Package comes without excess packaging materials such as hard plastic "clamshell" casings, plastic bindings, and wire ties. It’s designed to be opened without the use of a box cutter or knife and will protect your product just as well as traditional packaging during shipping. The Frustration-Free Packaging on this toy eliminates all PVC packaging materials (426.4 sq. in. per individual) and replaces them with recyclable corrugated material. This item ships in its own box, without the need for an additional shipping box.
The Kid Tough Digital Camera from Fisher-Price is rugged enough to go everywhere your child goes. With two-eye viewing, sturdy grips and a built-in flash, this real digital camera is designed to survive being dropped, and it is waterproof to protect against spills and splashes. This camera is a perfect way for kids aged three and up to document all their favorite things. | What We Think Fun Factor:
Durability: (what this means)
The Good: Durable, easy way for kids to experience photography
The Bad: May seem bulky in little hands
In a Nutshell: This Fisher-Price camera really is Kid Tough. | At a Glance Ages: 3 and up Requires: Four AAA batteries | | | Easy to Start Taking Pictures An adult will need to use a screwdriver to install the four AAA batteries before kids get their hands on this camera. With a textured button on the front that releases the shutter and large buttons on the back that let little hands turn the camera on and off, browse through pictures and delete images, using this camera is so easy it doesn't need to come with instructions. The fun, brightly colored body helps distinguish this camera from boring adult models, making it an instant favorite. Kid-Friendly Technology Kids can pick between using the live view on a 1.5-inch color LCD preview screen or looking through the two-eye viewer when taking pictures. The preview screen also lets kids look at pictures the moment after they take them. With a built-in flash that automatically illuminates darkened scenes, and a shutter noise that makes it easy to know when a picture has been taken, kids are sure to be delighted by their images. The 64 MB built-in memory stores up to 500 pictures and eliminates the need for handling fragile and expensive memory cards. Two image resolution settings, 0.3 and 1.3 interpolated mega pixels, let kids take plenty of pictures and make 4 x 6-inch prints. Fun, Durable Way to Encourage Creativity With its big rubberized grips and sturdy construction, we found this camera lived up to its incredibly durable reputation. Able to easily withstand being dropped again and again and waterproof for 30 minutes in up to three feet of water, this camera can handle the rough reality of active play. The heavy-duty construction that makes this camera so durable can also make it seem somewhat bulky for little hands, but this won't prevent kids from wanting to take it on all their adventures. Older children and adults may be disappointed by the image quality, but higher resolutions would allow less pictures to be stored and decrease the amount of fun children have with this camera. Kids quickly find that there's plenty of resolution for exercising creative urges and documenting the wonders of everyday life. The camera comes with a USB cable so pictures can be downloaded quickly and easily for editing and viewing. It is compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Apple Mac OSX, Apple Mac OS9 and requires a USB port 1.1 or higher for computer connectivity. What's in the Box Kid Tough Camera, USB cable, user's manual.

Nice camera, viruses are an extra special gift January 6, 2009 David J. Foremsky (Pittsburgh, PA USA) WARNING: some of these cameras are infected with a PC virus. Fisher-Price is not admitting to any problem, but the virus is there. Google for "kid tough virus". The camera itself is a neat little toy, but be careful when plugging it into your PC.
Great fun but terrible battery life January 6, 2009 Jeffrey R. Reid (Evergreen Park, IL United States) My kids love this camera. It's fun for me, as well, because the kids take the funniest pictures. The camera is easy to use and durable and holds over 300 pictures. My only complaint is the battery life. It takes 4 AAA's and they die in a day. Rechargeables are the only way to go and it should be included with the camera. It would also be nice to be able to turn the display OFF to save battery life since there is an optical view finder. If you buy this, buy stock in Duracell at the same time.
Worth for its price January 6, 2009 Archana Annamaneni I bought this camera for both my daughter(5 yr) and son(3 yr), it is definitely durable. My son seems to be enjoying more than my daughter , she says it is too big.Looks like 3yr seems to be perfect age for this.I really liked the packaging on this.
Fun for little ones January 6, 2009 twins plus a single (East Coast) My 5 year old twin boys love this camera. It is fun for them to run around the house taking silly pictures of each other. I wish the camera came with an AC adapter to charge it, because it sucks the life out of the AA batteries! The boys were only able to take 54 pictures (very quickly, I might add) before the brand new batteries died. Also, the pictures are very dark and grainy, but 5 year olds don't really mind. Good "toy" for little ones, but definitely not a good camera.
a camera of their own January 6, 2009 Laura Richards my 4 yo twin boys are in love with this camera! they carry it all around the house and take sooo many pics. they love being able to upload to the computer just like mom does! for a kids camera the picture quality isn't bad.
